Admissions Policies

- Roman Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of New York base their educational purpose and all their activities in the Christian teaching of the essential quality of all persons as rooted in God's love.
- Thus, with discrimination so repugnant to their nature and mission, Catholic Schools in this Archdiocese do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin or gender in administration of educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic or other administered programs.
- All Catholic elementary and secondary schools in the Archdiocese of New York subscribe to this policy whether owned or operated by the Archdiocese, the parishes of the Archdiocese or the religious communities within the Archdiocese.
Admission Process
- Parents must complete the school application form and provide all documents requested.
- Following a complete evaluation of all academic materials and an interview if requested, the parents will be notified about the status of admission for that child.
- Resurrection School gives preference in admission in the following order:
- to siblings of currently enrolled students
- to Catholic students whose parents are active members of the parish
- to Catholic students whose parents are active in another Catholic parish
- to non-Catholic students
Montessori and Traditional Kindergarten
- 3 and 4 year olds must be 3 or 4 by September 1st of the year they are entering Resurrection School.
- 5 year olds that are entering our Montessori or Traditional Kindergarten programs must be 5 by December 31st. of the year they are entering Resurrection School.
- An open house and information session for parents to apply for either the Montessori or Traditional Kindergarten programs take place on Friday, December 7th, 2007.
- The above stated preferences for admission apply to Pre-K and Kindergarten registrations as well.
