August 2007
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back to another school year. As you may already know the cafeteria is going to have a new computer system to assist with the purchases of lunches. The biggest change is that now a family will have only one account. Parents will be able to access the family account via the internet and track each child’s purchases. An e-mail will be generated each time the account is below $20.00 and will continue to be sent automatically, until the account is current. It is important that these emails are responded to because the new system will not allow an account to function with a negative balance. It is the policy of the Resurrection cafeteria, to always provide a set lunch only (this does not include snacks or bottled water or Capri Sun) to children who currently have a negative balance.
I’m happy to inform you that the lunch prices will not be increased this year. The cost for the lunch in the grammar school, is $3.75 per day and $4.25 per day in the middle school. Please refer to the Resurrection web site for the current price list for snacks. It is impossible with the number of children participating in the lunch program for us to monitor the snack purchases of any child. In the grammar school however students are limited to just one snack per day. They may also purchase a bottle of water or Capri Sun in addition to their snack.
Please send a check for a minimum of $75.00 per child in an envelope with your last name and the class/classes of your child/ children on it to the main office by Thursday September 6, 2007.Please make check payable to Resurrection School.and mark in the memo lunch program to insure that it is credited to your lunch account. If your child had money left on their account at the end of the last school year we will be adding it to the account after the set up is complete. We hope to have all of last years ending balances (positive or negative) added to the accounts by the end of September.
If you have any questions about the new program I can be reached at 914-925-3521.
On September 6, 2007 the entire cafeteria staff will be participating in an eight hour training course for the new program and will not be available for that day.
Enjoy the rest of summer vacation and have a great school year.
Thank you,
Joanne Coughlan
